Call and Covenant: The Story of David
The course delves into the spiritual understanding of God's call and purpose in an individual's life. In the New Testament, Paul fervently prayed for believers. He wanted them to grasp the transformative essence of Christ's calling which instills both power and divine character to accomplish God’s will.
The story of David illustrates a lesson of calling and faithfulness to God, showing the contrast between Saul and David. Saul's reign, characterized by a detachment from God, culminated in his rejection as king. Conversely, God chose David for his genuine heart rather than external attributes. He was anointed as Israel’s future leader. This signified the critical significance of aligning with God's divine intent. Numerous challenges and growth opportunities characterize David’s leadership. His experiences, particularly under Saul, serve as a testament to the journey of aligning with God's call. The journey involves more than the destination; it includes growth, understanding, and faithfulness along the way.
